KNLT is partnering with Kentucky State Parks to host a guided hike at Blanton Forest as part of a 2016 Hike-A-Thon in the Pine Mountain region. Just over 26 miles will be covered on guided hikes taking place once a month, March through September, on Kentucky State Park, Kentucky State Nature Preserve, and National Park Service land. All hikes will be within 70 miles of Pine Mountain State Resort Park. The hikes vary in length, though most are rated strenuous.

Details on the Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve hike: 4.5 miles, very strenuous
This incredible hike features the largest old growth forest in the state of Kentucky, with some trees dating to the late 1600’s!
