Explore Kentucky’s Ancient Forest 2018 (FULL)

March 24, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

[FULL] KNLT is teaming up with The Explore Kentucky Initiative (EKI) for the third year in a row to host a weekend of guided hikes at Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve. This incredible hike features the largest old growth forest in the state of Kentucky, with trees dating to the late 1600’s! Blanton is also home to scenic overlooks, soaring cliff lines, rock shelters, and pristine mountain streams that contain the Blackside Dace, a threatened species of fish. Lace up your hiking boots, dust off your camera, and join us to learn more about this beautiful wilderness area on Pine Mountain in eastern Kentucky!

[The hike is full] Space is limited is 15 people per hike. Visit The Explore Kentucky Initiative’s website to register: www.explorekentucky.us/calendar/2018/explorekentuckysancientforest
